Counsellors are trained to look beyond presenting problems to possible underlying causes. The aim of the therapeutic process is to enable you to understand and accept yourself, to change your behaviour to what is more productive and rewarding for you and to help you move towards becoming the kind of person you want to be. 1-to-1. Sometimes you just need to talk to someone. To talk to a professionally trained non-judgemental person in confidence helps you find a way out of your difficulties. Its all about helping you find your way to live a more fulfilling, enjoyable life. Work Life Balance. Work life balance is not a new concept. In these times of rapid change, getting the balance right is a huge challenge but one that, if achieved, can be beneficial to you, your family and employer. A happy worker is a productive worker. Couples. All relationships can go through difficult times. It helps to talk through conflicts with an independent experienced counsellor. Then together you can work through what is important and what needs to be addressed. Abuse. Domestic abuse is not an occasional disagreement. It is a pattern of behaviour used by one partner to establish and maintain power and control over the other. Domestic abuse can include physical, sexual, emotional, and psychological abuse. An abuser can be a partner (male or female), family member or carer. Early intervention is so important to break the cycle of abuse. Bereavement. Bereavement and loss are everyday issues made complex by our emotions. The feelings of isolation, anger and despair are common, counselling can help you, through support to get a new perspective on life and move on. Self Esteem. When you have low esteem you tend to view the world in a very negative way, and everything seems hopeless, pointless and too much trouble. When your esteem is high, you feel confident, you are better able to enjoy life and see difficulties as challenges. There are many reasons for low self esteem and together we can work to improve yours.
